PELVIC FLOOR PROBLEMS IN MEN

Urinary Incontinence : Involuntary incontinence is one of the most common problems due to dysfunction in the pelvic floor. It may be seen especially after prostate surgery in man and it affects daily livings in negative way.

Pelvic Pain : Pelvic inflammatory diseases, especially like chronic prostatitis, infections, post-operative adhesions, circulation problems in the vessels feeding the pelvic area may cause pain in the lower abdomen and pelvic area. With the lower abdomen pain, muscle structures in this region goes under spasms, that may cause difficulty in performing their functions.

Fecal and Gas Incontinence : Dysfunctions in the pelvic floor, muscles can cause involuntary fecal (bowel) and gas incontinence.

Bowel Obstruction (Constipation) : Excessive muscle activation in the pelvic floor muscles may be one of the conditions that prevent the muscles from relaxing and healthy stool.

Erectile Dysfunction, Impotence : It is a situation in which adequate erection cannot be achieved or the erection terminates early to provide sexual intercourse. It may occur due to weakness of the pelvic floor muscles.

Pre-ejaculation (Premature Ejaculation) : Pre-ejaculation is a situation where sexual intercourse ends in a very short time and ejaculation cannot be controlled. It can may occur due to weakness of the pelvic floor muscles.

Late Ejaculation : This is a situation where ejaculation happens late and partial or does not happen at all during sexual intercourse. It occurs due to excessive activation activity of the pelvic floor muscles. It can develop due to the excessive activity of the pelvic floor muscles.
